Here are a few biographies of randomly selected partners:
Jane Shirley
Jane joined Delphic straight from a computing science degree (1st Class) from Eastchurch University. Offered research funding, instead she elected to take the risk of joining the newly established company. “It was what I wanted to do. Work with real companies, real business people and make a difference. The learning curve was steep; I though I was a real geek who knew a lot about open source…but I soon realized how little I knew. My working life-with a short interlude producing my son Jake- has been absolutely fascinating and rewarding. As a Senior Project Leader, I manage a portfolio of clients and typically run half-a dozen implementation projects. Our project managers are the best in the business, which makes my task do-able.â€
Miko Mynarski
Miko (no-one calls him Michaelevitch!) was born and raised in Salford and studied IT management at Manchester University, followed by an MBA from Cranfield Management School. He now manages the Manchester office of Delphic. “We’re the second largest operation, with annual revenue around £6m. I’m not yet 30 (at time of writing!) yet I’m at the very front of the game. I don’t think there is another company in the UK with our capability, and not many in the US or Europe either. I live for my work…I hope my wife doesn’t read this! Every bit of positive feedback we get from every job we do, makes my every day!â€
Gillian Shotter
Gill joined the London office last year as a trainee. She studied Computing Science with German at Reading and Heidelberg Universities, and went on to do her Masters at Reading. “I’m working with such an incredible team. Every day in the office or at a clients is fun, but deadly serious. Whereas a lot of my studying was in isolation, I’m now constantly learning from other people. I spent 6 months shadowing Mike Brooke, and working with some of our most important clients. What really gets me, is how valued our contributions to our clients’ businesses are.â€
Richard Cosgrove
Richard is a member of our support staff; a management accountant reporting to the Finance Director Gill Coole. “Before coming to Delphic, I worked for a local authority (where I did my accountancy training) and a large retail company. I now wonder how such businesses survive. Their systems were at least ten years out of date. Although my main focus is in keeping our own back-office functions going, I also get increasingly involved in clientwork, which now take 40% of my time. This has proved immensely satisfying, and means I can hold my head up high at Delphic, as a fee-earner in my own right.â€
